We're currently recruiting for an Engineering Specialist - Transportation. The primary responsibilities for the job are to provide a high level of civil engineering design and project management support to the transportation street design program in preparation of plans, technical specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents for the construction of public works capital improvement projects. To review civil plans prepared by consultants for quality control as related to the city's drafting standards. To work with minimal direction and under the supervision of Senior Civil Engineers and Engineering Manager. This is a full-time, regular, non-exempt union position. This position is covered under the provisions of an agreement between the City and the OPEIU union. The schedule for this position is M-F, 8am to 5pm. Open until filled.
