About The Position

The Engineering Services Intern will spend 10 weeks supporting the electronics engineering group, specifically the electronics design and electronics services teams, which support the product engineering organization. The intern’s performance will be monitored to support learning and development, and they will present project details to the leadership team at the conclusion of the internship.

The role provides hands-on experience testing automotive electronics with benchtop laboratory equipment, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing engineering documentation. The intern will also learn to reverse engineer electronic sensors and modules, interpret wiring diagrams, identify functional features, and review schematics and PCB layouts while collaborating with engineering teams.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a similar engineering-related discipline.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated communication ability.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with vehicle systems, including body and electronics.
• Knowledge of electronics circuit fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electronic schematic creation.
• Knowledge of embedded software development.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal performance testing of electronic products using benchtop equipment and create documentation.
• Record test data in standard formats and provide results to product and engineering teams.
• Help reverse engineer functions and features of electronic sensors and modules.
• Interpret automotive wiring and pinout diagrams.
• Review schematics and PCB layouts.
• Present project details to the leadership team at the conclusion of the internship.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
