About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking an Engineering Services Area Sales Manager. This role requires candidates to reside within 50 miles of Mountainside, NJ; Franklin, MA; or Boothwyn, PA, with relocation assistance available for eligible applicants. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing a customer base, sales resources, products, and channels to market to achieve regional results. This includes providing leadership and development to a sales team comprising sales professionals, sales representatives, and the distributor channel. Key objectives for this role include driving growth in sales and market share, fostering channel development, and cultivating talent within the district. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum seven (7) years of electrical industry sales/marketing and/or engineering and/or operations experience
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Access to export-controlled information, requiring the applicant to be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • Previous experience managing people and channels
  • Superior knowledge of sales techniques, customers, customer relations and employee development
  • Strong knowledge of managing products, product applications and distribution channels
  • Significant sales presence such that the candidate can clearly command in difficult sales situations
  • Experience in growing sales and market share, channel development and developing employee talent
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (closer to 35%)
