About The Position

This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing engineering projects from initiation through completion. The Engineering Project Manager will work directly with the Director of Engineering to define project objectives, priorities, and success criteria. The position requires managing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans, while coordinating with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors. Key responsibilities include monitoring project progress, identifying risks, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and organizational standards. The role also involves preparing project updates, overseeing procurement, managing budgets, tracking costs, forecasting financial requirements, and resolving technical and operational issues. Continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to safety standards, engineering codes, and regulatory requirements are also essential. The position may require occasional after-hours, weekend, or on-call support.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of project management experience in an engineering or technical environment
  • Strong understanding of engineering systems, processes, and the full project lifecycle
  • Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Effectively manage financial resources within projects while aligning with organizational goals and operational needs
  • Possession of valid Oregon driver’s license
  • Excellent driving record and ability to be insured by the hospital’s auto insurance policy
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in healthcare, manufacturing, or facilities engineering
  • Strong familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning processes

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
