About The Position

The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for leading high-impact engineering and operational projects that expand manufacturing capabilities across existing and new facilities. This role sits at the center of engineering, operations, and execution—owning projects from concept through launch with a strong focus on results, speed to value, and operational excellence. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site manufacturing environment and brings a strong bias for action, sound engineering judgment, and disciplined project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field required
  • 3–5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 0–3 years of experience leading engineering or manufacturing projects
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and facility layouts
  • Proven ability to execute projects with minimal oversight
  • Hands-on experience with equipment commissioning, line balancing, and production ramp-ups
  • Ability to work across multiple sites and with geographically distributed teams
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in screen manufacturing, fenestration, light metals, or similar industries preferred
  • PMP certification strongly preferred
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects related to capacity expansion, automation, equipment installation, new product introductions, and process optimization
  • Support manufacturing expansion efforts including feasibility analysis, layout design, equipment selection, installation, and production ramp-up
  • Assist with new site launches, plant expansions, and line transfers to ensure operational readiness and standardization
  • Drive scalable, repeatable, and efficient manufacturing processes across locations
  • Own full project lifecycle: scope, schedule, budget, risk, and execution
  • Develop and maintain project charters, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation plans
  • Drive disciplined execution while adapting quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Identify risks early and implement practical solutions to maintain momentum
  • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Quality, Safety, and Finance teams
  • Translate business objectives into actionable project plans aligned with plant operations
  • Provide on-site leadership during installations, startups, and production ramp-ups
  • Deliver measurable improvements in capacity, cost, quality, safety, and delivery
  • Track and report project performance using clear KPIs tied to operational and financial outcomes
  • Maintain a strong sense of ownership and urgency to ensure results are achieved
