The Industrial Water Project Manager is responsible for the project management and execution of the Industrial Water projects in the Central Region but also supports Industrial Water projects in the Americas. Project Management will be executed in close coordination with the IW Market Leader, Relationship Managers, Regional Management and through strategic execution leveraging GHD’s talented resources. The Industrial Water Project Manager will ensure that GHD executes technically challenging projects on schedule and in budget. Learn about project management opportunities with GHD. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree where a Master's Degree is an asset
  • EIT or P.E. designation is preferred but not required
  • Experience enables the candidate to provide management for technical projects
  • Experience of managing and directing resources to execute projects and achieve specific end results within limited timeframes
  • Must have 5+ years of experience of applied knowledge in Industrial Water management. Experience in the Midwest and Northeast, including clients, is preferred.
  • Experience managing engineering and design of IW related projects.
  • Experience in preparing project scopes, schedules, and budgets for projects in collaboration with technical subject matter experts.
  • Experience in managing and supporting front-end process evaluations and developing IW solutions for clients. This will include treatment alternative evaluations in a FEL process, PFD, P&ID and GA development, and CAPEX and OPEX estimating. Familiarity and experience in alternative delivery including progressive design build is preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated experience as a technical writer and communicates well.
  • Must be able to work on multiple assignments simultaneously; and have strong organizational, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to manage projects with multiple private sector clients.
  • Must have a track record working on and as a Project Coordinator or Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of water management and usage plans
  • Plan, design, and execute industrial water projects for various industrial clients.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and engineering documents.
  • Conduct work to appropriate professional standards and to the firm’s QA/QC requirements. Participates in QA/QC programs for other projects as requested by managers.
  • Perform schedule reviews on projects and maintain/develop schedules for design and construction of assigned projects
  • Mentor junior engineers and project staff.
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Prepare proposal efforts for new business
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations.
