Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field, or a Master's degree
  • 5+ years of job-related experience (or 3 years with a Master's degree)
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at time of hire
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • 5 years project management experience leading hardware and software development teams
  • 3 years technical experience; preferably with embedded systems
  • Significant experience using Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge of waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • Proven communication skills
  • Strong leadership & mentoring skills

Responsibilities

  • Leads the planning and ensures monitoring and control for assigned development programs
  • Responsible for Cost, Schedule, and Technical performance for all engineering efforts
  • Ensures all project deliverables are developed with high quality and delivered on time
  • Manages the engineering related risks and opportunities of the program
  • Conducts monthly Engineering Status Reviews
  • Manages the resolution of technical issues
  • Ensures that team members are recognized for their contributions
  • Takes immediate & decisive action in dealing with technical & performance issues
  • Assists in Proposal and ROM development
