Requirements

  • University degree in mechanical engineering
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience in Landing Gear
  • Knowledge of the Airbus Final Assembly Line (FAL) processes, including Reports of Non-conformance (RNCs)
  • Knowledge of Google suite is a must
  • Must be able to work autonomously and be a good team player
  • A good knowledge of the French or English languages (written and spoken) is required

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the technical design and modification of mechanical components and systems according to the Airbus Canada Change Management process
  • Review and validate technical documentation, engineering drawings, and supplier deliverables to ensure conformity with design requirements and operational standards
  • Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve technical mechanical issues under his responsibility
  • Investigate and assess mechanical non-conformities and system deficiencies, and provide corrective actions
  • Support Final Assembly Line (FAL): Supports disposition of Reports of Non-conformance (RNCs) (primarily assessing repetitive wing interface nonconformities) and participate in the duty roster per the assigned schedule
  • Plan and manage projects in support of the Final Assembly Line (FAL), and prepare material, cost estimates and reports
  • Support production and assembly operations by providing engineering guidance on mechanical system installation, modification, and commissioning
  • Prepares Non-incorporated Engineering Orders (NIEOs) and updates Restriction and/or Special Instructions (RSIs) to support Flight Test Center needs from a mechanical system modifications and maintenance perspective.
