About The Position

Neko is redefining prevention in healthcare, aiming to make data-driven, preventative care accessible to more people before symptoms appear. Our proprietary technology and clinical care combine to deliver personalized, actionable insights in a single, non-invasive visit. We are seeking an Engineering Pod Lead for Growth who is passionate about growth and wants to remain hands-on. This role involves leading a pod of four to six engineers, dedicating most of the time to building and delivering features, while also setting technical direction, ensuring quality, and elevating the skills of the team.

Requirements

• Deep experience building consumer products across the stack, with significant depth in at least one of payments, growth systems, internationalization, or the web platform.
• Proven experience owning and improving a funnel, conversion rate, or revenue line.
• Experience running experiments with discipline and distinguishing results from noise.
• Experience leading engineers as a tech lead or equivalent, raising a team's standards and judgment.
• Daily use of AI coding tools and ability to demonstrate work shipped with them.

Nice To Haves

• Experience launching a consumer product in a new country or market.
• Experience with referral, invite, or viral loops that drove growth.
• Experience in a regulated or trust-critical domain such as healthcare or fintech.
• Experience with fraud, abuse, and bot resilience on public surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Ship the Growth roadmap on time and at quality, building alongside the pod on the funnel, payments, booking and launches.
• Set the technical direction for growth at Neko, including architecture and instrumentation for rapid testing and configuration-based launches.
• Own quality, including testing strategies, release processes, and ensuring public surfaces are fast, secure, and resilient to fraud and abuse.
• Develop the pod by hiring, mentoring, providing direct feedback, and integrating AI tools into engineers' workflows.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the code and metrics, and communicate insights transparently.
