About The Position

Eaton's Electrical Critical Power Solutions (CPS) Division is seeking an OpEx Manager to support its Engineering function. This role is based in Raleigh, NC, with relocation assistance available from within the US. Travel is expected to be up to 20% of the time. The position strengthens engineering operations by developing digital tools, standardizing processes, and enabling data-driven decisions to improve team efficiency and execution. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three years of experience supporting product-focused engineering, process improvement, or systems implementation.
  • Minimum of two years of experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions.

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects, process improvements or organizational change initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convert operational needs into practical digital solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Engineering Director in strengthening engineering operations across Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, Software, Systems, Testing and Compliance groups, while coordinating with partnering functions.
  • Lead the development, deployment, and standardization of strategic engineering operations initiatives in partnership with engineering leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and recurring reports to provide visibility into engineering priorities, capacity, project execution, customer support, and operational performance.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define key performance indicators, improve data quality, connect data sources, document reporting logic, and transition solutions to sustainable ownership.
  • Work with Information Technology teams to translate engineering needs into system and process changes, including requirements definition, solution design, testing, user acceptance, deployment, documentation, and adoption support.
  • Identify and implement workflow automation and digital solutions using approved Microsoft tools and other authorized platforms to reduce manual work, eliminate duplication, and improve reliability.
  • Use approved artificial intelligence tools to improve knowledge discovery, documentation, analysis, communication, and routine workflows, adhering to data-security, privacy, intellectual-property, and responsible-use requirements.
  • Evaluate AI and automation use cases, develop proofs of concept, measure results, document controls, and assist engineering teams in adopting solutions for sustainable efficiency.
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of technical onboarding and training for CPS engineers across various disciplines.
  • Partner with subject-matter experts to create structured learning paths, technical resources, role-based onboarding plans, ownership expectations, and methods to assess training effectiveness.
  • Own or coordinate Engineering SharePoint site architecture and governance, including libraries, metadata, permissions, naming conventions, retention practices, ownership, and content review.
  • Develop and improve engineering operating processes, standard work, templates, workflows, and governance for a scalable and consistent engineering function.
  • Support coordination of customer-related activities requiring attention across engineering groups, such as Factory Witness Testing, onsite commissioning support, customer issue escalations, and cross-functional technical reviews.
  • Lead engineering operations improvement and change-management initiatives by mapping current and future states, assessing stakeholder impact, developing implementation plans, communicating changes, and monitoring adoption.
  • Facilitate working sessions, capture decisions and action items, manage project plans, communicate status, and escalate risks.
  • Promote collaboration, accountability, knowledge sharing, and reuse of effective practices across sites, product lines, and engineering disciplines.
