About The Position

As an Engineering Network Administrator at Centrus, you'll help maintain the systems that enable our world-class engineering, operations, and production teams to work safely, efficiently, and reliably. Whether coordinating technical data, supporting plant infrastructure, or ensuring operational systems remain connected and available, you'll play an important role in advancing our clean energy and national security mission. You'll administer and maintain operational and engineering network systems that support facility operations, manufacturing, and business functions. Working closely with engineering, maintenance, operations, cybersecurity, and project teams, you'll coordinate network changes, monitor system performance, resolve connectivity issues, document configurations, support infrastructure upgrades, and help ensure network reliability, security, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements. You'll also participate in system improvements, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and contribute to projects that enhance operational efficiency and long-term network resilience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered
  • 3+ years of experience supporting industrial or operational network environments
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and network architectures
  • Experience supporting network infrastructure in manufacturing, utility, energy, or other highly regulated industries
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical and operational issues
  • Experience reading engineering drawings, network diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Familiarity with configuration management and change control processes
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a “Q” level security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience supporting operational technology (OT), industrial control systems (ICS), or engineering network environments
  • 3+ years of experience supporting SCADA, PLC, DCS, or process control networks
  • 3+ years of experience implementing or supporting industrial cybersecurity practices, including network segmentation and secure remote access
  • Experience working within DOE, NRC, NIST, ISA/IEC 62443, or other highly regulated environments
  • Experience supporting commissioning, startup, or major facility expansion projects
  • Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Security+, ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP), or equivalent
  • Experience developing technical procedures, maintaining engineering documentation, and leading network improvement initiatives
  • Active “Q” or Top Secret Clearance
