Requirements

  • 7+ years’ related experience.
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated experience with relevant standards and practices
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish goals based on extensive experience and judgment
  • Demonstrated ADVANCED skills in all of the following responsibilities: employee development, team building, business acumen, continuous improvement, systems and tools, project management and communication (written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of circuit design and architecture development.
  • BSEE or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and management for product development and sustaining programs and activities
  • Lead initiatives to improve electrical engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Plan and manage the deployment of resources for multiple projects
  • Establish and monitor department budgets
  • Encourage and provide opportunities for continued relevant technical training
  • Provide technical assistance to Business Development to win new business and drive company growth
  • Provide the appropriate skill mix to sustain and grow the business and to meet customer requirements
  • Manage the design, development, and testing of electrical systems, components, and products to ensure compliance with industry standards (such as MIL-PRF-38534).
  • Develop, enhance and maintain a core team as well as an external network of consultants, contractors and suppliers to support product development
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the electrical engineering team, ensuring best practices in DC-DC design, power systems, and hybrid circuit technologies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with electrical designs, including thermal management, electromagnetic interference (EMI), and radiation effects.
  • Lead initiatives to improve electrical engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Any other tasks assigned by supervisor or management
