Job Purpose The Engineering Manager is responsible for carrying out the Plant Engineering functions at multiple locations including project management, capital management, facilities, and maintenance/tooling management. Integrates with manufacturing department to increase product thru put and quality. Also works cross-functionally with EHS to ensure adherence of Environmental systems designed to maintain compliance to State and Federal regulations. Responsible for maintenance and design of process improvements. Participate in continuous improvement activities such as EOS RIE Events, 5S, TPM, and 6 Sigma.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in technical field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience (>10 years preferred).
  • Five years of experience in environmental compliance.
  • Job responsibility to include project management of multiple / complex / simultaneous sizes ranging from small monetary $10K to excess of $10 million in size.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Safety / Health metrics for the dept. to accomplish Site objectives.
  • Direct activities of plant project engineers and plant maintenance/tooling personnel.
  • Interpret and enforce compliance to engineering specifications, equipment and maintenance requirements, and all facilities compliance requirements
  • Works with Corporate Engineering personnel to provide plant improvements to meet the stated needs of company strategic business plan and customer demands.
  • Manage the Plant Technical Staff with the ability to support and trouble-shoot issues (PLC, Robotic, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Mechanical).
  • Management of capital projects along with the annual Capital Budget submittal (and accompanying justification). Defines activities necessary to insure plant operations
  • Supports compliance with all environmental requirements related to Richmond manufacturing business.
  • Participates in formulating and developing long-range goals and objectives
  • Establish procedures that will satisfy facilities contractual and procurement requirements. Serves as the plant contact and directs the scheduling of maintenance and repairs in plant.
