About The Position

Snapsheet is seeking an Engineering Manager to join their Communications & Documents team, a sub-team within Claims Management. This role is for someone passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to create impactful solutions. The Engineering Manager will drive major initiatives, foster strong relationships, and guide the team's success. At Snapsheet, Engineering Managers are expected to be builders and strategists who stay close to the code and the customer. The Comms and Docs team is crucial to the insurance experience, aiming to build an industry-leading ecosystem that removes user friction. The team operates with a collaborative, quality-driven culture and a commitment to innovation.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field
  • 7+ years of full-stack web development experience
  • Designing and building APIs
  • Designing schemas and performant queries for relational databases
  • Understanding of scalability challenges and performance of server-side code
  • Prior experience using back end languages, Ruby on Rails a plus
  • Prior experience using front end web frameworks
  • 2+ years of experience in an engineering manager, team lead, or lead developer-like role

  • Experience using Rails, React, and Typescript
