About The Position

Cat-I Glass is looking for an Engineering Manager who owns both the factory floor and the maintenance department. This role requires a leader who understands the importance of proactive maintenance and can make decisive, impactful decisions. The ideal candidate is a team builder who prioritizes long-term team stability over short-term fixes and is respected for their leadership rather than just being liked. This position offers ownership of both operational sides of the business.

Requirements

Proven ability to fix recurring equipment failures using root cause analysis, DOE, or SPC.
Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of thermal or chemical tempering, lamination, and precision edge finishing.
Hands-on manufacturing experience.
Ability to lead and build a team.
Strong decision-making skills.
Understanding of the difference between managing people and leading them.
Focus on team retention over high turnover.

Nice To Haves

3+ years of experience in ceramics process or manufacturing engineering.
Experience with ERP/MES systems.

Responsibilities
