The Engineering Manager provides transformational leadership that inspires a high performing engineering group. Results will be recognized through sustained accomplishments to quality, cost and delivery goals. Effectively develops clear and specific project objectives for targeted opportunities. Dynamically leads staff to achieve the stated project deliverables in coordination with quality and manufacturing management along with other engineering groups. Directs resources toward the application of standard and advanced approaches and technologies to significantly improve processes and/or systems. Applies diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Manages managers, supervisors, engineers, designers, technicians and/or other technical associates. Provides strategic direction for the department based on corporate initiatives. Interacts with multiple sites and many levels of leadership while devising new approaches to problems encountered. Responsible for assuring the appropriate technical skills, and supporting tools are present in the department to support current and future technical needs. Further responsible for the delivery performance (projects) and process performance (systems) of the staff.
