About The Position

HungerRush is a leading provider of integrated restaurant technology solutions, with HungerRush 360 as its flagship cloud POS system. This system integrates digital ordering (including AI-powered text and talk ordering), delivery management, customer engagement, restaurant management, and payment processing features, designed to offer operators insights, control, and growth opportunities. The company is transitioning to an AI-centric approach to streamline development, improve decision-making, and accelerate business value delivery. This position involves leading a team of engineers responsible for building the consumer-facing E-commerce product, a crucial component of the cloud point of sale system. The role encompasses coordinating, growing, and empowering direct reports and team members. It requires close collaboration with product managers to define priorities, plan initiatives, and align technical execution with business objectives. The Engineering Manager will also engage with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback, provide updates, and ensure the team's work delivers significant value. The leader is expected to unblock the team through direct and indirect contributions, develop a broad understanding of the business context, and identify opportunities for the team's expertise to make a greater impact. This is a remote role.

Requirements

  • Experience as a technical leader and people manager for at least 2+ years
  • Extensive professional experience, recommended 10+ years
  • Demonstrated success delivering SaaS, E-Commerce, or consumer-facing web applications/APIs
  • Deep experience with distributed systems, cloud environments (Azure preferred), and modern architectures
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including C#, Azure, and SQL Server

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Angular, Bootstrap, Vue.js, and other front-end frameworks
  • Experience with Queues, Caches, CDN’s, and other technologies used for building scalable web applications
  • Experience with SQL Azure, Azure Service Bus Queues, and Redis Cache

Responsibilities

  • Grow and lead a team of 8-10 engineers
  • Hire high-quality engineering talent and develop your team
  • Guide the development of engineers with mentoring, training, and performance management
  • Build high scale systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and solving business needs
  • Contribute to software development with an emphasis on architecture, design, quality, implementation, and culture
  • Utilize the latest advances in AI software development to improve effectiveness of delivering business value
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including product managers and operations teams
  • Responsible for continuous improvement in processes and standards
  • Contribute directly to the codebase as needed
