Engineering Manager - TV Client Paved Paths & Workflows
About The Position
The TV Client Paved Paths & Workflows team at Netflix aims to provide a holistic, world-class experience for creating TV applications, including Netflix’s flagship streaming app. This team enables engineers to deliver product initiatives that bring joy to people worldwide by focusing on a high-quality, high-velocity, joyful developer experience. The team will have the opportunity to enable new immersive product experiences by scaling capabilities and empowering partners through TV platform paved paths, self-service tools, and agentic workflows. Requirements
- Experience leading in product or UI engineering domains
- Passionate about serving engineers as customers
- Enjoy pushing the boundaries of what technology can do and exploring uncharted waters
- Love to empower engineers and strive to understand their use cases
- Interested in developer experience industry trends and always striving to improve
- Value the perspective of others when identifying solutions
- Understand that there is rarely one ‘right’ solution, and make thoughtful trade-offs
- Understand that the goal is to solve problems, and a language, framework, or library is a means to an end
Responsibilities
- Lead a platform engineering team that builds products for engineers and product partners
- Build strong relationships with Design, Product, UI Engineering, and foundational partners
- Build and support a team of senior software engineers who value inclusion, transparency, autonomy, and humility
- Bring partners and the business along by illustrating the value and impact of the team’s work
- Empower, challenge, and coach team members to grow their impact as individual technical leaders by providing them with context and continuous feedback
