The Engineering Manager will provide visionary leadership to the engineering team, setting technical goals and ensuring the successful execution of projects. This role involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of building systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards. The manager will also develop and manage the engineering department's budget, control costs, and allocate resources efficiently. Collaboration with other departments is key for developing and implementing strategic plans for facility improvement, energy efficiency, and technological upgrades. Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards, and overseeing inspections and audits are critical responsibilities. The role includes leading and supervising a team of engineers, fostering a culture of safety, overseeing daily maintenance activities including preventative maintenance schedules for all hotel systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, etc.), responding to and resolving emergency maintenance issues promptly, and coordinating with outside contractors for complex repairs or renovations.
