Engineering Manager

MicrosoftRedmond, WA

About The Position

Microsoft Security aspires to make the world a safer place for all by reshaping security and empowering users, customers, and developers with a security cloud that protects them with end-to-end, simplified solutions. The Microsoft Security organization accelerates Microsoft’s mission to ensure that our company and industry is securing digital technology platforms, devices, and clouds in our customers’ heterogeneous environments, as well as ensuring the security of our own internal estate. This role is for an Engineering Manager leader who wants to shape the future of application security. The position focuses on closing the gap between source code and runtime, where security teams find vulnerabilities in running applications but have no fast path back to the code, dependency, or owner that caused the exposure, and developers ship code with little visibility into how it will behave in production or how attackers will target it. As the Engineering Manager for this space, you'll build and lead the team that designs, delivers, and operates how Defender protects the software development lifecycle, from the first line of code through build, deployment, runtime, detection, response, and remediation. You'll partner across Defender, GitHub, Azure, Windows, Microsoft AI, and M365 to turn a major industry shift into real systems customers can trust and act on. This is a unique opportunity to help create a new category from one of the most important platforms in enterprise security. Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees, we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.
