About The Position

Manage a team of power system engineers supporting clients with ISO-specific commissioning and testing requirements to achieve project commercial operation dates (COD) for newly connected energy resources. Ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality and budget objectives. The position is based at 5301 Southwest Pkwy, Bldg 1, Suite 150, Austin, Texas, with telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Engineering Management.
• At least two years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
• At least two years of experience with dynamic power systems modeling using PSSE and PLSF.
• At least two years of renewable generation modeling experience.
• At least two years of NERC compliance studies experience.
• At least two years of model qualification testing for ERCOT sites.
• At least two years of technical report writing experience.
• At least two years of experience managing multiple projects with strict regulatory deadlines.
• At least two years of experience coordinating with plant owners, OEMs, and grid operators during testing.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of power system engineers supporting ISO-specific commissioning and testing requirements for newly connected energy resources.
• Ensure timely project completion while meeting project quality and budget objectives.
• Interact with clients to gather input and address needs and concerns regarding project study scopes of work.
• Support business development efforts to expand commissioning services beyond the ERCOT region.
• Develop and grow engineers’ capabilities within the team and broader organization.
• Lead process improvement efforts to enhance organizational efficiency, maximize team bandwidth, and maintain the quality and timeliness of client deliverables.
• Support business development activities, including preparing RFP responses and client scopes of work that outline EPE deliverables and projected completion dates.
