About The Position

Advance CNC Machining is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for their Grove City, Ohio location. The company is a growing $20 million business specializing in high precision machined parts for various industries including equipment manufacturers, food, drug, and aerospace and defense. The ideal candidate will bring competency, ownership, and leadership to help the company meet rapidly rising demand. The role involves strategic guidance and mentorship of the engineering team, focusing on creating custom deliverables, optimizing workflows, and managing performance indicators and budget.

Requirements

• 10+ years of combined experience in design engineering
• Deep understanding of machining and related manufacturing processes
• Experience leading and mentoring direct reports including excellent communication and the ability to hold others accountable.
• Strong analytical skills for diagnosing design or production challenges
• Ability to guide engineers through concept development, 3D modeling, prints, tolerances, and manufacturability reviews
• A mindset focused on efficiency, quality improvement, and cost savings
• Demonstrated SolidWorks experience and fluency

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing, coaching, and developing a high-performing team of mechanical engineers
• Leading performance management, including goal setting, feedback, and professional growth planning
• Optimizing engineering workflows to increase throughput, reduce waste, and streamline handoffs with production teams
• Troubleshooting design issues with an analytical, solutions-oriented approach
• Owning the Engineering group’s performance indicators and budget
