About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee a team of Engineering and Maintenance specialists responsible for engineering operations across the property’s interior and exterior facilities. Areas include plumbing, refrigeration, heating and cooling, painting, carpentry, structural work, recycling, electrical systems, grounds care, and parking areas.

The Engineering Manager oversees additional engineering work needed to maintain the property efficiently and support the safety and comfort of guests and employees. The role is responsible for life and fire safety systems, energy and sustainability initiatives, and overall facility management. The manager also leads and coordinates property-related projects, ensuring initiatives are completed efficiently and within established timelines.

Requirements

• Strong project management skills, work ethic, adaptability, flexibility, and leadership skills.
• A minimum of five years of technical experience, or equivalent experience through a recognized trade or apprenticeship program or formal education program.
• Relevant formal education or credentials may include a professional degree in an engineering discipline; a trade degree in a technical field related to engineering, such as mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering; CEOE certification; a BOMI designation; RPA; FMA; or SMA.
• Flexible work hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Engineering and Maintenance specialists and engineering operations for interior and exterior facilities.
• Manage work involving plumbing, refrigeration, heating and cooling, painting, carpentry, structural systems, recycling, electrical systems, grounds care, and parking areas.
• Manage engineering work needed to maintain the property efficiently and ensure guest and employee safety and comfort.
• Oversee life and fire safety systems, energy and sustainability initiatives, and facility management.
• Lead and coordinate property-related projects and ensure timely, efficient completion.
