In this leadership role, you will: Lead architecture design and development for autonomous machine control platforms Build a world class engineering team to advance autonomous machine development Encourage learning and development of domain expertise in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and/or Computer Graphics to push simulation and autonomous operation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering or other software related field
- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Strong background and experience in applied Deep Learning
- Experience leading and developing engineering teams for multiple products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong experience in project management and different software process methodologies
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, robotics or related field preferred
- 5+ years of people management experience
- Experience with ROS, Gazebo, Unreal, and Omniverse
Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead multiple teams across different layers of the software stack. Provide development, mentoring, and coaching to cross-functional teams and individuals.
- Technical Vision: Drive the overall technical vision and architecture, ensuring systems grow and scale quickly. Lead the creation of Long Range Plans (LRP) for a functional team.
- Process: Develop release plans and ensure they are delivered at a regular cadence. Ensure requirements, design documentation, and software are developed and validated in alignment with industry best practices.
- Business: Ensure planning, estimation, and tracking activities are carried out effectively, manage the operating budget for the team.
