About The Position

This role oversees the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of Power Platform/Dynamics 365 solutions that solve customer problems. This is a leadership role that requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, customer management skills, and the ability to inspire and mentor a team of engineers. This is also a hands-on role that is expected to contribute significantly to projects.

Requirements

  • BS degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or relevant work experience).
  • Experience (5+ years) in Dynamics 365 and at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in .NET web stack technologies.
  • Experience with CoPilot Studio and/or Azure AI Foundry
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., C#, TypeScript, JavaScript).
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Expertise with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Power Platform and Dynamics 365 engineers.
  • Ensure assigned projects are appropriately staffed, and deliverables fulfill product requirements with the appropriate level of quality.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, coaching, and feedback to direct reports.
  • Identify skill gaps and training needs within the team.
  • Create career growth plans and establish education goals for each direct report.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Own the hiring process for the Power Platform team working with recruiters, conducting interviews and selecting the top candidates.
  • Elevate technical excellence by providing technical guidance, coaching, and support to the Power Platform team.
  • Review and approve technical designs, architecture plans, and code.
  • Lead collaborative activities such as pairing and mob programming.
  • Enforce code standards, architectural principles, code reviews, and testing.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, best practices, and industry standards related to D365 and related technologies.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve development processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Identify and address bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with product managers to align technical implementations with product vision and requirements.
  • Work closely with product managers to establish project timelines and ensure deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate with other teams to ensure alignment and integration of software products.
  • Actively resolve conflicts within cross-functional teams involving direct reports.
  • Consult with clients and analyze business requirements and translate them into comprehensive technical designs for D365 solutions.
  • Maintain and support custom-developed integrations for D365.
  • Build extensions and customizations using Power Apps/Power Automate/BI/C#/JavaScript/TypeScript and general D365 configuration.
  • Create and maintain documentation of solutions (readme, process, and system descriptions).
