About The Position

We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager who combines people leadership with a strong background in technical execution and a product mindset. You will work directly with our Senior Director of Engineering, partnering closely with product, design, data, security, and go‑to‑market stakeholders to define and deliver the roadmap for new Scheduling products. As a Manager at Calendly, you have the chance to mentor and grow some of the best and brightest engineers in the world. This role will work alongside our other Engineering teams to make Calendly even simpler and more powerful for our user base. Requirements

• 3+ years experience managing a team of Software Engineers
• 5+ years of overall development experience, ideally using TypeScript, Node.js, and React
• Experience driving the adoption of AI-powered tools and workflows to help improve engineering team productivity, collaboration, and delivery efficiency in an AI-first organization.
• Deep proficiency with distributed / data-oriented application development and SaaS
• Experience planning and leading development efforts on large projects
• Previous experience leading and mentoring teams and driving them toward big goals with consistent execution
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to succinctly explain deep technical concepts
• Experience leading Agile / Scrum ceremonies
• Availability for participation in on-call rotation, ensuring prompt and effective responses to business-critical alerts outside of regular working hours
• Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time

Responsibilities

• Work on products and services aimed at simplifying scheduling for millions of users
• Lead agile ceremonies to help your team plan out their work and get it done
• Coach, mentor, and onboard new engineering team members
• Identify future technical needs and create plans to meet them
• Provide feedback and guidance to help us continuously grow and scale
• Hire engineers to build out both new and existing squads for the company, with oversight on all team members that get hired onto the squad
