Requirements

  • 6+ years of backend software engineering experience
  • 1–3 years of engineering management experience
  • Experience managing and hiring software engineers
  • Strong platform engineering experience
  • Experience building API integrations and data infrastructure
  • Experience working in venture-backed startups during growth stages
  • Experience operating in fast-paced engineering organizations
  • Strong distributed systems fundamentals
  • Experience with performance optimization and scalability challenges
  • Experience building customer-facing infrastructure products
  • Strong system design skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable remaining hands-on as an engineering manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering team responsible for 300+ destination integrations
  • Manage and mentor a team of approximately 8 software engineers
  • Drive execution across customer-facing infrastructure projects
  • Balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical contributions
  • Prioritize new integrations, enhancements, and platform improvements
  • Partner directly with customers and integration partners
  • Improve sync speed, reliability, and performance across the platform
  • Drive initiatives involving parallelism, batching, and rate-limit optimization
  • Help scale integration infrastructure supporting thousands of daily syncs
  • Guide architecture and technical decision-making across the team
  • Coach engineers and raise the technical execution bar
  • Improve engineering processes, planning, and delivery velocity
  • Collaborate closely with product, customer success, and leadership teams
  • Evaluate technical tradeoffs balancing customer impact and long-term scalability
  • Drive adoption of AI tooling to improve engineering productivity
  • Contribute to hiring, team development, and organizational growth
  • Operate with high ownership and autonomy across critical platform infrastructure
  • Represent the team internally and externally when needed
