About the position
Heap is seeking a remote manager to oversee a team of engineers and drive the technical strategy for their managed ETL product, Connect. The manager will be responsible for coaching and developing the team, as well as partnering with product management and 3rd party developers to maintain and extend integrations. The role requires a track record of leading diverse engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Requirements
- At least 3+ years of experience managing a team of 4 or more engineers
- At least 5+ years of total experience in technical roles
- Experience in leading and coaching diverse teams of engineers
- Solid engineering background and familiarity with new technologies
- Experience in running team cadences in a fast-moving, agile environment
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product management to set roadmap and direction
- Relevant experience in building integrations and data platforms at scale
- Familiarity with event streaming architectures
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, particularly AWS
- Willingness to learn and ramp up on new technologies and concepts

- Competitive salary range of $240,000-$280,000 for New York City-based candidates
