About The Position

The Engineering Manager, Computer-Aided Design Services and Configuration Control is responsible for technical direction, leadership, management and output of the CAD and Configuration Control team. This team delivers right, first-time technical content and configuration control support to bids, detailed design, and product support phases. This position is located onsite in New Port Richey, FL. The work schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, but may vary depending on business needs. This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent technical field with minimum 5 years’ experience managing technical resources and functional departments.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of experience leading aerospace configuration management, document control, or other engineering service functions.
  • 5 years of technical supervisory experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (10%) of the time (domestic and international).
  • U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain configuration control requirements and commercial responsibility.
  • Deliver drawings, models, and related documents through cross-functional teams, on a project-by-project basis, both inside the organization and with support of the wider supply chain.
  • Establish and drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to manage key performance, ensuring standardized global approach to best practices, lessons learned, and continuous improvement.
  • Resource workload tracking and reporting of productivity and availability.
  • Create, develop, and promote best practice through standard work.
  • Ensure customer documents / specifications which define the contractual obligations for change control are reviewed and contractual databases are properly populated.
  • Support customer configuration audits such as functional and physical configuration by review of contractual obligations and advise engineering team as appropriate.
