About The Position

Oakland Community College (OCC) is seeking Adjunct Faculty Instructors to teach Computer Aided Design (CAD) courses. OCC is a large, multi-campus institution in Oakland County, Michigan, dedicated to providing accessible and affordable quality education. Adjunct instructors are hired on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year based on enrollment. Candidates must value diversity, shared responsibility, open communication, personal empowerment, integrity, and ethical commitment, and be committed to using modern technology in the classroom. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting OR Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience OR Associate's degree and 8 years of experience.
  • Commitment to using modern technology in the classroom.
  • Ability to work as a team player in a multi-cultural working environment.
  • Submit current resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcripts for all relevant degrees earned.
  • Transcripts must reflect the date the degree was awarded.
  • If hired, official transcripts will be required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with multi-cultural students and staff preferred.
  • Online teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach day and/or evening Computer Aided Design courses, ranging from basic to advanced skill levels.
  • Maintain and/or provide licensure and certifications where applicable.
