The Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP) is a three-year rotational program designed to accelerate the development and career of highly-motivated recent college graduates who aspire to achieve their leadership potential. This is accomplished through challenging and rewarding rotational assignments, technical and leadership training, advanced education, leadership opportunities and exposure, and mentorship. Participants will gain diverse experiences within Engineering areas and disciplines through three, one-year onsite rotations with increasing responsibility. The program also offers networking opportunities, strategic project initiatives, and flexibility for participants to have input on their rotational assignments and geographic locations, dependent on business needs. A key requirement is the completion of a technical Master's Degree Program, with robust tuition assistance provided by BAE Systems. The program involves travel primarily within the United States, with the first rotation and final placement in Sterling Heights, MI or Minneapolis, MN, and subsequent rotations potentially at other sector locations nationwide. Each participant is assigned a mentor for guidance in career development and off-program placement. Personal growth is fostered through an annual leadership development conference, personalized leadership training, and networking with senior executives and other program participants. A technical and leadership curriculum, combining in-person and virtual trainings, provides a holistic career development experience. The program offers opportunities for early start prior to the official June cohort start date for eligible candidates.
