The Engineering Lead will provide leadership for the engineering team across a multi-state market. This role involves setting up a local engineering leadership team composed of property-level engineers to support the implementation of the national engineering platform. The position requires coordinating quarterly engineering meetings, providing necessary training materials to ensure compliance with industry and national engineering process requirements, and assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of technical programs, policies, and procedures as directed by National Operations and Engineering. The Engineering Lead will collaborate with Property Managers and Chief Engineers to implement and coordinate requirements such as safety, quality assurance, sustainability, energy management, Energy Star, C&W engineering disciplines, and energy/water tracking tools. Additionally, this role supports the development of technical and administrative training for on-site engineering personnel, works with building engineers to establish preventative maintenance programs, and assists in the submission and approval of critical environment work authorizations. The position also involves establishing a network of consultants, assisting with scope definition, contract negotiations, and bid reviews for projects, providing direction on HVAC, MEP, Fire & Life Safety, Automation, Security, and OSHA compliance, and supporting RFP/RFI responses and new business presentations. A key responsibility is performing analysis on work order, asset, and building metrics to optimize the R&M program and engaging in recruitment activities to identify and maintain a database of qualified candidates.
