About The Position

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new Engineering Laborer. As a Labourer at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge your care and attention to detail will ensure that our guests have a memorable stay in the Canadian Rockies.

Requirements

Previous Laborer experience required
Able to repair and replace brick pathways
Ability to work safely and ensure co-workers are working safely and adhering to the JPL safe work practices and confined space operations
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
Must possess a Valid Alberta drivers license
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience is an asset
High school and/or technical school education
Must be in excellent physical condition
Mechanically inclined and able to operate equipment an asset
Mechanical/Maintenance experience an asset

Responsibilities

Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
Follow policies, procedures and service standards
Provide quality work in keeping with Brand standards outlined by supervisor
Able to drive standard operational vehicles such as pickup truck, garbage truck, forklift and skyreach lift.
Act as backup relief sanitation attendant responsible for completing all duties for the role
Safely operate tools such as hand tools, chainsaw, hoist, rigging material, log splitter
Safely deploy and utilize ladders, and scaffolding equipment
Maintain the cleanliness of mechanical rooms, vaults and storage areas.
Follow all safety and sanitation policies including documentation as required
Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel vehicles
