About The Position

This role is responsible for operating engineering lab test equipment and data acquisition components. The technician will assemble and test equipment according to blueprints, engineering specifications, and customer requirements, ensuring cost-effectiveness, safety, and adherence to production schedules. Quality checks of parts for accuracy in dimensions and quantity are essential. The position also involves operating a forklift and overhead crane, and strictly following all safety and environmental policies. Collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, production, and QA personnel is a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, physical, and drug test.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in assembly and testing of oil field equipment in a production environment is required
  • Able to read and understand manufacturing documentation.
  • Must be able to use basic QA dimensional inspection tools, i.e. dial calipers, ID/OD mics, durometer hardness tester, etc., and follow inspection documents.
  • Knowledge of hydrostatic, hydraulic, and nitrogen gas testing equipment.
  • Able to understand engineering procedures and mechanical assembly drawings.
  • Working knowledge of component fault finding.
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Sufficient knowledge to work with little or no supervision on pressure control equipment and Engineering R&D projects.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English as it relates to the job.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to frequently bend, squat, twist, climb and reach.

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive knowledge of subsea and land-based coiled tubing pressure control equipment preferred.
