The Engineering Lab Tech will become familiar with Liberty Pumps assembly techniques and equipment, providing technical support. This role involves developing competence with applicable certification requirements (CSA, UL, etc.), participating in the development and execution of test plans, and conducting activities related to product assembly for development, validation, and certification testing. The position also includes participating in the development, implementation, and maintenance of laboratory build and test equipment, tools, and facilities. The Engineering Lab Tech will help coordinate and manage production testing for LEP and Commercial products, participate in customer tours and product demonstrations, and help coordinate testing activities to optimize equipment and resource utilization. Additionally, the role involves participating in the development and maintenance of build and test procedures, ensuring conformance, and championing Laboratory 5S and Safety. The individual will become familiar with the Liberty Pumps product line, markets, ISO 9001 Forms & Work Instructions, and the ERP system for BOMs and revision information. They will assist the team in various development efforts, providing feedback on design, quality, and assembly, and become familiar with the Liberty Pumps Quality statement. Developing and maintaining professional working relationships with internal departments, external vendors, and partners is crucial. The role requires participation in proactive team efforts and compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, safety guidelines, and maintaining a clean, organized work area with good safety judgment.
