This position is for a Lead Engineering Lab Assistant who works under minimal supervision. You will perform hands-on technical work on engineering products. You will confer with Engineers and lab technicians on details and specifications to build and modify a wide range of products. Requirements
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Certification may be required for technical support roles
- Experience with reading prints, drawings, and schematics

Responsibilities
- Works under minimal supervision to provide technical build support to engineers and technicians on a variety of tasks.
- Performs moderately complex hands-on technical tasks that contribute to the completion of engineering projects and products.
- Works on circuit boards completing repairs, component insertion and replacement, and even inspection.
- Familiar with soldering techniques, both lead and lead-free.
- Builds cables and terminations for a wide variety of circuity types.
- Understands the engineering inspection and quality process and follows quality procedures.
- Reads prints, drawings, and schematics as needed to assist in the build process.
- Uses hand tools, scopes, soldering stations, and other devices with skill and precision.
- Demonstrates successful soft skills - communication, attitude, leadership, and professionalism.
