About The Position

Sonoco’s internship program immerses students in the manufacturing and packaging industries through hands-on experience intended to foster personal and professional growth. The program is available at approximately 25 U.S. locations and includes on-the-job learning, plant tours, engagement with Sonoco leadership, real-time feedback, and networking opportunities. Interns may work alongside industry experts and peers in areas including manufacturing, process engineering, quality, safety, commercial/sales, finance/accounting, and supply chain management.

This is a 12-week paid internship in the Reels - Industrial Paper Products Division, located in Hartselle, Alabama. The program includes hands-on projects, business knowledge from across Sonoco’s enterprise, networking with business leaders, activities with other interns and Emerging Leader associates, a housing and activity stipend, and relocation assistance.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
• Previous internship experience.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Technical aptitude.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
