About The Position

Leidos is seeking highly motivated high school students for a summer internship program. As an intern, you will work under the close supervision of technical experts on cutting-edge programs in developmental engineering, software development, data analysis, test and evaluation, and cybersecurity within the space and missile defense mission communities. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate on projects, perform research and data analysis, attend engineering planning meetings, document discussions and action plans, assist in documenting and tracking engineering designs, and participate in Continuous Improvement teams.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Applicants must be a currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior or senior in a public or private high school
  • Applicants must be 16 years old no later than June 1st, 2026
  • Applicants must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and effectively with a team
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced science and math classes (Chemistry, Biology, Calculus, Physics)
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Perl, Java)

Responsibilities
