About The Position

Provides technical support and assists engineering consultants with inspections, analysis and testing of vehicles, industrial machinery, consumer products and other equipment. Assist in scene surveys, inspections and generation of maps and layout drawings. Assists in application of scientific principles, engineering methods and techniques to a variety of projects. Housing not included. Mandatory research project must be completed by the end of the Internship and is expected to require approximately 40 hours of effort. Research topic shall be mutually agreed upon between intern and supervisor.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Verbal and Written Communication skills.
  • Intermediate skills with CAD and office productivity software.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to travel for trips of three days in length.
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Must have completed at least Freshman year.
  • Academic good standing at an ABET accredited engineering school.

  • Woodworking tools experience
  • Demonstrated familiarity with automotive systems.
  • Data acquisition and instrumentation experience.
  • Major in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Materials Science, Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • 3.30 GPA or higher.
