Hydro is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Engineering Intern to join our dynamic Engineering Department. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mechanical engineering within a leading industrial company. The intern will work closely with experienced engineers and project managers on real-world projects, contributing to critical initiatives and gaining valuable insight into operations. Wage: $21 per hour

Requirements

• Preferably sophomore, junior, or senior in engineering.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Proactive and adaptable.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with CAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering teams in various phases of projects, including preparation of engineering studies, reports, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support design and development of drawings, plans, and layouts using CAD software.
• Utilize engineering software/tools for simulations, modeling, and analysis.
• Maintain organized documentation, prepare presentations, and contribute to written reports.
• Collaborate to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Conduct research on best practices, technologies, and standards.
• Work with cross-functional teams.
• Follow safety policies and regulations.
• Support process optimization initiatives.
