About The Position

Gibson EMC has an Engineering Intern position open for our Trenton Member Service Center located at 1207 S. College St., Trenton, TN. Position Summary: Performs installation and maintenance of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) one-line drawings and database definitions Performs reactive demand analysis and recommends corrective action Programs and tests Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) microprocessor-based relays Assists substation technicians with installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of control wiring and relaying in substations, reclosers, capacitors and regulators Assists Field and Compliance Engineers with staking electric distribution lines including, but not limited to determining pole height and class, anchoring requirements, conductor size, conductor tension and sag, and transformer sizing

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with successful completion of courses in Algebra I, Algebra II, and Trigonometry
• Courses in AutoCAD, DC circuits and AC circuits
• Upper classman Engineering student
• Valid Class D Drivers License
