About The Position

Salas O’Brien is hiring an Engineering Intern in Charleston, South Carolina, for Summer 2027. The intern will assist engineers with drafting and miscellaneous tasks, including general office clerical work, and may perform field work to document existing conditions. The position may occasionally involve travel to off-site locations.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service capabilities.
• Ability to work more than 40 hours per week to meet project deadlines.
• Ability to drive to project sites and a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work in the United States.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Revit and mechanical or electrical support software.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with drafting and miscellaneous tasks, including general office clerical work.
• May perform field work to document existing conditions.
• Process correspondence efficiently, accurately, and confidentially.
