About The Position

We are seeking 4 motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Interns for a 12-week temporary assignment with our Aerospace & Defense organization. These internships offer hands-on experience in either supporting cutting-edge NPD initiatives or contributing to ongoing production and contract engineering efforts—both providing meaningful exposure to real-world applications in a fast-paced, highly regulated industry. Interns will collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to assist in the design, testing, and documentation of aerospace components and systems. This is a valuable opportunity for aspiring engineers to gain industry insight while building technical knowledge and professional skills.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in all functional areas within a fast-paced, technically focused manufacturing environment is essential; must be hands-on capable of effective project management and implementing tactics to drive Company initiatives in a time sensitive manner.
  • Demonstrated success working in a highly collaborative multi-function environment, with a track record of accomplishment with measurable business impact and managing within a matrix environment.
  • Must be very detail oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attending a two-year or four-year college for Engineering required.

  • Actively participates in lean manufacturing initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen Events, RCCA, and Value Stream Analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes engineering models & drawings to create sketches to be used for departmental operations.
  • Produce step-by-step detail showing procedure & specifications to follow, includes list of all materials and tools to be used.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality to develop part specific characteristics to input into plan.
  • Revise and update plans as required by production needs and audit requirements.
  • Make corrections to Bill of Materials and routers as needed.
  • Create Rework Work Orders.
  • Maintain and verify revisions of specifications needed for all products.
  • Verify engineering revisions.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned by the Director of Engineering.
