About The Position

Element has an opportunity for an Engineer Intern position at our Fairfield, OH location. This role involves preparing material specimens for testing, operating under the supervision of senior engineers or a Department Manager, analyzing and reporting test data, and constructing/maintaining laboratory equipment. The intern will also target and achieve operational improvements and perform tests as directed by customer specifications.

Requirements

• Possess the ability to work alone periodically throughout the work day with supervision
• Understand what must be completed each work day and takes the initiative to complete those tasks properly and in timely manner
• Ability to read and understand customer specifications and perform the testing required
• Able to develop a proven ability to set up and perform a variety of tests according to customer specifications under the supervision and technical input of Senior/Principal Engineers
• Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and > 50 lbs. on occasion
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in a related field
