About The Position

BWX Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BWXT) is seeking an Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2027. Headquartered in Lynchburg, Va., BWXT provides nuclear solutions for national security, clean energy, environmental remediation, nuclear medicine, and space exploration. Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program pursuing a degree in Engineering.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter.
• Position requires U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation, drug test and previous employment reference verifications.

Responsibilities

• Developing and delivering unique engineering solutions used in a nuclear environment.
• Creating/updating drawings and procedures.
• Participates in design testing, analysis, project management and procurement of materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
