About The Position

The Bosch Research and Technology Center North America is seeking an Engineering Intern to provide technical support to the Bosch water electrolysis research team for electrolysis cell testing and characterization. The intern will be responsible for assembling test rigs, operating and monitoring electrolysis test benches, processing and interpreting testing results, and carrying out physical analysis. Additional responsibilities may include further development of testing methodology and/or further development of lab-scale test capability.

Requirements

  • Obtained or currently pursuing MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Sciences or related technical fields.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Hands on experience with PEM water electrolysis testing hardware and equipment. This ideally includes subscale or short-stack testing.
  • Experience with electrochemical testing equipment.
  • Familiar with data processing and interpretation.
  • Be enthusiastic and able to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Curious and passionate about learning and exploring.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into simple to understand, communicable ideas.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with advanced characterization techniques, e.g., SEM, XRF, XRD, gas MS, etc.
  • Experience with script coding, data analysis automation and interpretation.
  • Publications to demonstrate past work in the hydrogen energy conversion field.

Benefits

  • The U.S. base salary range for this intern position is $41.00/hr - $55.00/hr.
