About The Position

Intertek is seeking an experienced or entry-level Engineering Field Technician I to join their Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team in the Greater Denver Area, specifically in Westminster, Colorado. This role offers a great opportunity for career growth within the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry. Intertek-PSI is a leading US provider of construction assurance, testing, and inspection services for civil and commercial construction, offering a wide range of services including construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing. The Engineering Field Technician I will perform various testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or following detailed procedures.

Requirements

• Some experience in the construction industry.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication (hearing) and to make discriminations in sound.
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
• Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous construction materials testing experience.
• Certifications including ACI, ICC, PTI, WAQTC, etc.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (e.g., Soil, concrete, or other).
• Provide assessment of data through reporting.
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
• Use specific methods and perform tasks to make detailed observations of site activities.
• Give limited interpretation of results.
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
