About The Position

Shea Concrete Products is hiring an Engineering Estimator for its headquarters in Amesbury, MA, and in Wilmington, MA. This full-time, non-exempt position assists customers by providing technical solutions, preparing drawings, responding to inquiries and orders, and coordinating orders through production and delivery. The role is fast-paced and involves multitasking and meeting project deadlines accurately. Training is involved, and graduates are encouraged to apply. The Estimator prepares submittals, production drawings, takeoffs, estimates, quotes, and orders; supports bidding; and communicates with customers throughout the order process. The position provides cost estimates for residential and commercial projects while seeking to remain competitive and maintain quality standards. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Self-motivated, disciplined, and organized, with a professional demeanor.
Ability to manage multiple jobs at different stages.
Enthusiastic, confident, and willing to work hard.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds.

Nice To Haves

AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Use Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Excel to prepare submittals and production drawings.
Read plans to prepare takeoffs, estimates, and orders.
Generate sales quotes and orders.
Provide accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial projects while maintaining competitiveness and quality standards.
Support customers during the bidding process.
Communicate with customers about orders, submittals, production, and delivery.
Track orders through production and delivery to provide a seamless customer experience.
