About The Position

Presidio is seeking an Engineering Director, Cyber to join their team. This customer-facing pre-sales leadership position will be situated within the Western United States. The role involves working with sales, security consulting and delivery organizations, customers, and manufacturing partners to transform the customer experience by aligning business goals with Presidio's consulting services and solution architectures. The position is responsible for partnering with Territory Vice Presidents and Territory Sales Directors to exceed annual goals for revenue, growth, and profitability, and for recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent. This is a critical role as Presidio continues to grow a strong solution-oriented sales and professional services business. The Engineering Director, Cyber remains technically adept while leading a team of Cybersecurity Consultants to do the same. The ideal candidate is an authentic and transparent leader who builds a culture of success through customer relevance and impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience in IT and/or Security
  • 5-8 years’ experience in security or risk management, auditing and business continuity planning in a client-facing consulting role
  • Strong relationships with industry peers and security vendors
  • Deep knowledge of system and solution architectures and compliance frameworks including PCI-DSS, HIPAA, Sarbanes Oxley, ISO 27001, NIST, CSF, COBIT, SANS 20 & privacy/security related laws
  • Relevant risk and/or security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, CHP, PCI-QSA
  • Experience and/or professional level certification(s) in one or more of Presidio’s port
  • Proven technical problem-solving and design ability
  • Ability to communicate security-related concepts clearly and effectively, in written and oral form, to technical and excutive leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, mentor, measure and grow team(s)
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Proficient oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate by example

Responsibilities

  • Accelerate security revenue growth and profitability by leading an Area team of Cyber Security Consultants, engaging National field sales resources, and engineering leadership, collaborating with National Practice leaders, optimizing partner interactions, and promoting Presidio-first managed and cyber security services.
  • Provide scheduled coaching to team and ensure individual development plans have actionable and measurable objectives. Lead by example and an unrelenting focus on stakeholder success. Provide challenging and rewarding opportunities for personal and team growth.
  • Discover new solutions, emerging products, and industry trends that may yield a competitive advantage, and work with team for evaluation and inclusion into Presidio’s offerings.
  • Maintain and increase Area team cybersecurity knowledge and proficiency through relevant conferences, internal and external training, industry and OEM certifications, and mentoring.
  • Ensure Presidio’s Strategic Engagement Framework Is Followed. Make sure all regional presales efforts and paid services engagements are scoped to follow Presidio’s Strategic Engagement Framework to achieve quality, success, customer satisfaction, and profit goals.
  • Maintain a high level of technical excellence and evangelism across multiple solution architecture areas, including both the primary and enabling solutions sold and delivered by Presidio.
  • Work with Executive Leadership to define the needs of the practice areas and be a primary channel of communications to/from the territories. Collaborate with the Professional Services leadership to ensure quality of Statement of Work (SOW) and that lines of communication are consistently and constantly open.
  • Understand customer’s overall business drivers and influences, and how to position Presidio to ensure a successful sales and implementation of our service and product portfolio. Be aware and in tune with industry, technology, and customer trends.
  • Build and maintain long-term loyal client relationships, as well as establish and attack/convert competitively held accounts.
  • Build credibility and strengthen relationships with manufacturer partner teams.
  • Work with Territory Sales & Engineering Directors to develop and execute strategy and go-to-market plans.
  • Coordinate with Marketing team to develop relevant and impactful customer events.
