Spring 2027 Co-op, Engineering
About The Position
BlueWave is seeking a Spring Co-op student to join their Engineering team from January through June. This role involves supporting the creation of PV solar and battery storage design layouts and energy models, developing construction details, and assisting in the review of construction product submittals and reliance documentation like surveys and geotechnical reports. The co-op will work closely with the Engineering team to produce deliverables that advance projects through design and into construction, offering practical, applied exposure to the renewable energy industry. This position is ideal for a student aiming to gain project-based engineering experience. Candidates must reside in the Boston area and be able to commute to the Boston office three days per week.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Interest in renewable energy and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience with CAD preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of design layouts and energy models
- Support the creation of construction details
- Review construction product submittals under the direction of subject matter experts
- Review surveys and geotechnical reports under the direction of subject matter experts
- Take on additional tasks as designated by the engineering team to help advance projects through design and construction
